posted Mar 12, 2018, 10:33 AM by FBCrin Booth   [ updated Mar 12, 2018, 11:00 AM ]

Please come worship with us as we celebrate this Easter Season.
Please take note of the services available in which we contemplate the  sacrificial death and glorious resurrection of our Risen Savior

A time of fellowship and reflection on the true meaning of Easter

A quiet time of Communion and contemplation on the sacrifice our Lord  Jesus Christ made for us

A meeting of various church bodies across the town  to fellowship and worship together as one body during this Easter Weekend

A gathering centered around the joy and excitement
of our little ones as they scurry around looking for those colorful eggs that represent new beginnings.   They always hear the story of Jesus and His love for them to perhaps spark a new beginning
 in their lives.

Come worship with us on this exciting morning when we celebrate our Risen Savior

Dedication Prayer for Pastorl Servants

posted Feb 3, 2018, 8:31 AM by FBCrin Booth   [ updated Feb 3, 2018, 8:34 AM ]

Upon the retirement of Pastor Jim at the end of 2017, FBC finds itself in the position of searching for a new lead pastor.
In the interim, five lay leaders have volunteered to fill the pulpit and assume pastoral duties until God reveals His choice
for our new pastor.  On January 7, 2018, a dedication ceremony was held for these lay leaders, our Minister of Music,
and our new Family Minister.  The following prayer of dedication was offered as part of this service.  We share it here
in hopes that, in addition to ministering to our own church family, it may provide inspiration and guidance for you,
wherever you are in your walk with the Lord.

(for the moving audio of this prayer, click on "Sermons, Audio")

On this day of dedication, O Holy God, we raise our spirits to You and ask Your blessing upon us.  As we remember our true calling--to serve and glorify You, we thank You , and ask for You to bless in a mighty way, all those in our church who minister to us.  Those in the church office who work tirelessly;  the support staff and volunteers who keep our buildings safe and beautiful; for our technicians who help us hear and see during worship;  our dedicated teachers and small group leaders who present Your Word with warmth, humor and grace; for our dedicated professional staff--special protection and favor we pray for Rex and Tim; thank you for Caryl, whose music leads us to worship You;  those volunteers on the committees and  boards, and those are chairing our boards  who comprise the Board of Managers-be present in all meetings that have oversight- grant them wisdom as well as skill and knowledge. We thank You for these mentioned ; but also for all who perform the "behind the scene" deeds to help weave this church together in strength. For their steady and quiet work we say thank you to them, and to You for Your provision of them. Bless all those who minister here in any way, Sunday after Sunday, to Your purpose and for the glory of Your name.

Holy God, We know You hold a special charge to leaders in Your church.  We come to You now asking a special outpouring of love and grace on these 5 men who have answered Your call to service in ministering to this congregation.  They have been faithful and honest through prayer and are willing to give of themselves during this interim to lead us.  We the congregation can have peace, knowing they will be diligent in service, because we have seen them in action before, and have received the benefits of their service in times past. We know they will be creative in thought, and open to Your leading. We know their words will be formed by Your Word, and they will be strengthened by worship. Thank You Holy Father for these men! They are hopeful in their outlook, and they are joyous in practice! We know they will do all within their power, and with Your grace, to be faithful to the tasks to which You have called them. May You anoint them with  physical strength, courage, compassion, joy, and wisdom in the tasks before them.

Loving God, with You as our strength, may we as a congregation, commit ourselves to joining these men in being the Church-gathering for worship, prayer, and study and then scattering for witness, love and service. May Your strength of purpose be upon us all, and may we find the call for our own rededication to the life and faith in Christ.  During this time of renewal, help us to grow. We ask you, Holy God, to bless the spiritual health of our whole congregation. Let Love abound! Give us a spirit of devotion to Your people and move us to cling to one another in times of gladness and affliction.  Thank You for those who came before us in this place- building the building, furnishing it down to hymn books in pews. Let us not take for granted all the hopes and cares so many have poured into this congregation.

Help us now run with patience the race that is before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.  Faithful God, give us Your sustaining power, and grant us the strengthening presence of the Holy Spirit in whatever challenges await us. It is through  Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, Amen.

Vacation Bible School 2017...A great success !!

The kids were immersed in a world where they became
 hands-on inventors
and discovered that they were lovingly crafted by God!

  VBS  2017
 was a HUGH success !!

Each night, 50 to 60 kids heard the Word of God and and all about His Son Jesus through song, skits, activities, and "Kid Vids", which told about the plight of kids in Peru, South America.  The offerings given by the kids this week raised over $150 to help those children.
Thanks kids !!

Thanks to all those parents, grandparents, and adults who love these kids enough to get them to an event that demonstrated just how much God loves them.

The kids got totally excited as our

wacky animated characters and our

 adult leaders guided them

through God's big story of how

much He loves them!

FBC Goes "Orange"

posted Aug 27, 2013, 8:26 AM by FBCrin Booth   [ updated Apr 28, 2016, 6:19 AM by Grant Garber ]

Some time ago the decision was made to adopt the strategy of “Orange”.  “Orange” is a comprehensive plan or strategy for combining critical influences in life to fuel faith in the next generation. The Orange Strategy is a strategy built on the principles that two influences (the church and the home) can have a greater impact when they work together.  Orange is a path, a strategy that combines the strength of two—yellow and red—to create the brilliance of another, Orange.  By combining the critical influences of the light of the church (represented by yellow) and the love of the family (represented by red), the Orange strategy synchronizes efforts and shows a generation who God is, more effectively than either could alone.

Our Pre-School Children

are immersed in an approach called

                    First Look.

First Look is a unique approach to curriculum for churches, designed to give preschool children a first impression of their heavenly Father and the wonder of His love for each one of them.  First Look strives to incite WONDER in the hearts of our young ones by instilling these

three basic truths:

God made me.

God loves me.

Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Our Elementary-age kids

are in a constant state of discovery. How can we tap into the way kids are naturally wired to discover‚ so they can begin to experience for themselves who God is, how He sees them and how much He loves them? How can we show them God’s Big Story and help them discover the active part they can play in this life-long adventure, to be more like Him?

252 BASICS curriculum and resources PROVOKE DISCOVERY, inviting kids to live out their new understanding of how to grow in relationship with God and with others.

252 Basics is a unique approach to curriculum for churches and Christian schools. It is built around three Basic Truths every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52…

(And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.):

I need to make the wise choice.

I can trust God no matter what.

I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
